	DOTS PavilionMorongo Valley, CA
	DOTS, set in California’s Morongo Valley, is a permanent space for gathering. 
The 25 columns arranged in a five-by-five grid, spaced at eight feet apart, create bays that hold objects and platforms. These objects and platforms cross-brace the columns and allow for program flexibility within. The vibrant colors set against the desert palette and additions such as hammocks, shading, and a swing act as an open invitation for visitors to interact with the structure.&#38;nbsp;

	A conservatory on Governors Island, without plants.&#38;nbsp;

Like museums or libraries, botanical conservatories focus on the specimen—collecting and displaying, offering at most a hands-off experience for the visitor.In this conservatory, phenomena found in desert conditions of the American West—salt flats, geological formations, and the mirage—are brought to the Northeast and housed for interaction. 


	This unique effort of conservation grants the feeling of spatial curiosity. An expanse of luminous, naturally pink salt will reveal itself to you. The presence of a massive boulder reaching for the sky will stand before you, inviting you to constrict yourself upon navigating its crevices.
 At the end of your journey, you will be underground, but you may find yourself asking “is there water at the other end of the room?”

	Pier ParkCincinnati, OH
		Pier Park is a collaborative exploration of what a new neighborhood in Cincinnati, on the Ohio River, could look like with the implementation of methods that foster community and accessibility to its visitors and residents.&#38;nbsp;
We initially looked at heterarchical organizations such as the informal settlements of the slums in Manila, Philippines. This led us to develop a pier system to connect blocks to buildings on an elevated plane.&#38;nbsp;
Spatial relationships and networks, particularly the parks, pathways and piers, bring opportunity and accessibility to those living and working along the mile-long stretch.&#38;nbsp;
	&#38;nbsp;

	
	We focused on implementing park spaces on and around each block in an effort to decentralize community gathering and green spaces. This park approach is a nod to our neighborhood research of Mount Adams where the park entries are exclusive and, being on a hill, request a longer commute for accessibility. The pier system allows for new opportunities of passage throughout the site.project partner: Elizabeth Enders

	 Waste to NightclubQueens, NY

	Waste to Nightclub is a negotiation between a large scale urban envelope and precise volumes that house programs of vastly different designation, creating new natures of spatial contingencies. 
A recycling system was the primary program, with a nightclub as secondary program. The site was located on the East River in Queens, adjacent to the Anable Basin and across from Roosevelt Island Memorial.With the implementation of a double facade system, the project was able to generate an “in between” threshold for visitors to engage and occupy. Depending on the location, these spaces presented opportunities to speculate different levels of human versus machine climates. &#38;nbsp;
Our MEP systems were able to occupy spaces partially open to the elements and could intake fresh air with enough room for exhaust. Our unconditioned spaces allowed for passive cooling and heating dependent on weather.


	The existing industrial brick buildings on the site posed the opportunity to include a familiar human scale and propose a new designation of these 19th century structures. Its 34’ height could mediate the 12’ flood line of the site, with sensitive programs located above the flood level.Beyond juxtaposing machine and human occupied overlaps, the developed concepts aimed to harmoniously engage the two main programs—infrastructure and entertainment—finding imaginative and credible ways to activate them within each other, but additionally extending the boundary between interior and exterior, “us” and the “other” in the expanded envelopes of the building.project partner: Elizabeth Enders

	Brooklyn InterlockBrooklyn, NY

	A multi-use tower project located in downtown Brooklyn. The drive of the design for this tower revolved around the concept that the facade and interior would weave in and out of each other depending on the inhabitant’s location within.&#38;nbsp;
A typical, fully residential floor maintains two crescents on the east-facing side of the building, while the “flex” floors, which encompass the mixed-use spaces of each floor, follows the overlapping of additional crescents. The changing of these shapes pushes and pulls the facade. The building is also located on a triangular lot, which was a determining factor for the two flat facade sides.

Nominated by Pratt GAUD, I spent the 2020 Summer working with Places Journal as part of their inaugural workshop, along with students from over a dozen other partner schools.

My essay, “The Virtual Hallway,” explores the pandemic’s effect on privacy in the home.

	TARP is a student-led group within the Pratt GAUD interviewing visiting architects, designers, philosophers, theorists, historians, and educators in conjunction with the GAUD’s ongoing lecture series.&#38;nbsp;
In the Spring of 2019, four peers and myself within TARP had the opportunity to interview Graham Harman and Manuel DeLanda and collabortively write about the theme of the interview: authorship and agency with machine learning and AI.
